DAY 1 DAMASCUS ARRIVAL (D)
We depart to the Lebanese/Syrian borders, after the formalities we head towards Damascus to visit the National Museum. Then head to Tekkieh Sulyamanieh, and walk through the famous Souk al Hamidieh of Damascus, which was built during the Ottoman Days on the Documanus Maximus.

In the afternoon walk along “the Straight Street”, the famous street that was mentioned in the bible.

Dinner at a traditional Damascene house in the old city and then head to the hotel for check in and overnight.

DAY 2 DAMASCUS (B/L/D)
Start your day by visiting the Umayyad Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus, located in the heart of the old city. The mosque was built on the location of Temple Haddad during the Aramaic era, which was replaced by Jupiter in the Roman days, and converted into a church in the Christian dynasty.

After the mosque, we will head to visit the Saladin tomb, and then continue to Azem Palace, which was built by the governor of Damascus in the 18th century. It has all the characteristics that elaborate the style of the Damascene houses.

In the afternoon, walk through the Qaimayrieh Street, then continue to visit Ananias house. Ananias was the disciple who heeled St. Paul when he came to Damascus. Also visit St. Paul window where it is believed to be the place where St. Paul lowered in a basket and escaped the city.

Enjoy a cocktail and Dinner at a traditional Damascene house in the city.

DAY 3 DAMASCUS – PALMYRA – HAMA (B/L/D)
Today prepare yourself for a long drive where we depart to the Syrian Steppe to visit the ruins of one of the famous cities in the Middle East Palmyra, in ancient times; it was the home of Queen Zenobia. At the end of the 3rd century AD, she defied the Romans and was consequently destroyed by them.

One of Syria’s most magnificent ancient sites, Palmyra spreads over many acres and has an abundance of intact edifices from the 2nd century AD.

Late afternoon we drive to Hama and transfer to the hotel for check in and overnight.

DAY 4 HAMA – ALEPPO (B/L/D)
In the morning we head to visit the famous giant waterwheels of Hama, and then head towards Aleppo, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

In the afternoon, we walk through the old city. Have dinner at a traditional Aleppo restaurant.

DAY 5 ALEPPO (B/L/D)
We head to visit the newly renovated museum, and the Citadel.

Then in the afternoon, we visit the souks of Aleppo (parts of which have been totally demolished in the war but some sections are still the same as it used to be, lively and crowded and very colorful.

Walk through the Armenian quarter then enjoy dinner at a traditional Aleppo restaurant.

DAY 6 ALEPPO – CRAK DES CHEVALIES – CHRISTIAN VALLEY (B/L/D)
We drive toward the Christian valley of Syria, and head to visit Crak Des Chevalies one of the famous 12th century Crusader Castles in the world.

In the afternoon, we head to visit Saint George Monastery, which a part of it was built around the six century AD.

DAY 7 CHRISTIAN VALLEY – MA’LULA – DAMASCUS (B/L/D)
We drive back to Damascus via Ma’lula, where people still speak the Aramaic Dialect that was spoken during the time of Jesus Christ.

Ma’lula has two religious places, Saint Takla convent, and Saints Serjous and Bacchus monastery. Saint Takla was converted into Christianity by Saint Paul in the first Century AD. Those churches are considered some of the oldest in the world because they were converted from Pagan temples in the early day’s right when Christianity became the religion of the Byzantine Empire.

Arrive in your hotel and have a farewell dinner at one of the prominent restaurants in Damascus.

DAY 8 DAMASCUS – DEPARTURE (B/L)
Morning at leisure then after lunch head to Beirut for Dinner and overnight
